Making Lives Better During The Holidays
Our mission is to create design that makes lives better, but that becomes even more personal during the holiday season as our society makes us more aware of those less fortunate. Our Pagers are busy meeting end-of-year work goals but they still find the time to collaborate with their colleagues on community service projects.
While we serve Meals On Wheels throughout the year, Pagers double down on their commitment during the holidays and ensure there are drivers during the busiest weeks of the year, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. Some of our offices are located in cold climates so empathetic employees there support the Lutheran Family Services’ warm clothing and coat drive.
Still others participate in an industry community service program called We Care which benefits the Boys & Girls Club of America. They use their creativity to design a craft that lower-income children can assemble to give as holiday season gifts. One office designates a "volunteer day" during the holidays to encourage employee participation in community activities; this year several Pagers volunteered at an urban charter school, assisting teachers and helping children with art projects.
Gingerbread competitions are popular with Page employees as they challenge our design skills and encourage collaboration while benefiting local charities such as the Children’s National Medical Center of Washington DC and So Others Might Eat. Some of these events are heavily attended by the public and participants also enjoy seeing the delight on children’s’ faces.
